After trying for the NEET exam, Riya was not able to clear it. She says in her YouTube video, that her father told her you should look for a compounded or nurse job, you cannot become a doctor. She was admitted to college to study B.Sc hons in Psychology but thought it was not meant for her as she was from a humble family and in that college other students always discuss materialistic things.

Then, she tried for UPSC without telling anyone that she was preparing for this exam this time. She was investing 10-12 hours a day daily in the preparation of the exam for a good 9-10 months. Thereafter, the second wave came, and seeing everybody suffering not because of the disease but more of the anxiety and fear of Covid, she decided to do something for society and started teaching psychology on Instagram for free. People liked it and her followers increased by 3x amount. She thought of providing more help to students and asked her professor to deliver 20 lectures ( as she was in 2 years of college), for 20k rupees.

Her professor agreed and initially, no one was converting because of the paid course that was valued at 3k at that time. After running ads, she was able to get 20 students and completed one batch and after that, she named that page Fobet and she never stopped growing.
